Delete your Shad account

Shad is the fishing journal app for iPhone and Android (package app.shad.shad). You can permanently delete your account and associated data using the app or by email.

In the app (recommended)

1. Open the Shad app on your iPhone or Android device.

2. Go to Settings (Profile tab).

3. Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.

4. Confirm when prompted.

Deletion starts immediately. You are signed out and cannot recover the account without creating a new one.

By email

Send a deletion request from the email on your Shad account to privacy@shad.fish. Include the name or handle on the account so we can verify ownership. We will delete the account and reply when complete.

What we delete

Your login (email or OAuth link), profile (name, handle, photo), journal catches and photos, aquarium tanks, social posts and comments, saved map spots, follow relationships, and notification history tied to your account.

What we may keep

Short-lived security and auth logs needed to operate the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. Aggregated map activity that does not identify you may remain.
