Terms of Service

The service
Shad is a fishing journal. You get a globe, a catch log, an aquarium, a social feed in the app, and Shadline — a bite window that blends weather, moon, and species patterns.
This website is a preview of Shadline plus account-style Settings and these legal pages. The full journal lives in the iOS app.
Your account
Keep your account truthful. Do not abuse the service, scrape private data, or try to recover other people’s spots.
You must be 13 or older.
Your content
You own the catches and photos you log. You give Shad a license to store them and show them back to you, and — only where you set a post public — to show photos in the feed without coordinates.
Do not upload content you do not have the right to share.
Maps, weather, and Shadline
Maps, weather, regulations, and Shadline scores can be wrong or incomplete. They are not advice to enter water, trespass, or ignore local law.
We do not promise every water, species, or spot will stay listed.
Shad+
Free accounts include one tank and ten fish in that tank. Shad+ raises those limits.
Subscriptions billed through Apple renew until you cancel in your Apple ID settings. Apple’s Standard EULA also applies to paid iOS features.
Privacy of spots
Exact fishing locations are never published to other users. If you share a photo, it does not include a map pin.
Disclaimers
The service is provided as-is. We are not liable for lost catches, bad weather calls, or decisions you make on the water.
If a piece of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still stands.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States.
